Malcolm Kirk Henderson, 75, of 69 W. Minster, Apt. 12, Austintown, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at his residence of natural causes.
He was born March 9, 1934 in Madisonville, TN the son of Ralph and Jessie Francis Henderson.
Mr. Henderson was employed with Anchor Motor Freights in Lordstown for 25 years as Shift Foreman, before retiring in 1995. He also worked a short time for State Chevrolet and Sheet & Tube Steel Mill. He enjoyed restoring old cars and manicuring his and the neighbors lawns. He was a 1952 graduate of High Point High School and attended Mechanical Engineering Trade School.
Mr. Henderson served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class.
He leaves to mourn 2 sons, Michael (Pam) Henderson of Chicago, IL and Omar Henderson of Youngstown; 3 daughters, Jacquelyn (James) Robinson of Youngstown, Robin and Rochelle; Josephine Henderson of Campbell; 1 brother, Charles Henderson of Madisonville, TN; 5 sisters, Edith (Willie) Banks, of Knoxville, TN, Betty (Roylynn) Johnson of Sweetwater, TN, Mary Ann Black of Madisonville, Frances (Tommy) Davis and Janie L. (Larry) Banks both of Knoxville; 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Eleanor Lawson, Elizabeth Lawson and Elaine Campbell and 1 brother, Robert Henderson.
Calling Hours will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel.
Family will receive friends at 31 Tremble Ave., Apt. 314, the home of Josephine Henderson.
