Juanita L. Dunlap Cleveland, 87, of 660 Martin St., SW, Warren departed this life Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at 2:58 p.m. at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Salem, OH, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Pelham Dunlap, residing in this area for 62 years.
Mrs. Cleveland was employed with the Warren City School System for 17 years as the Head Baker, before retiring Oct. 1986. She is a member of Second Baptist Church, where she was a former Usher and Sunday School Teacher and Mizpah Chapter #66 Eastern Stars, where she was a former Worthy Matron.
She was a 1940 graduate of Salem High School and enjoyed bowling, walking and traveling.
She married Charles R. Cleveland Sr. in 1942, he died in 1982.
She leaves to mourn 2 sons, Charles R. (Marie) Cleveland Jr. of Newton Falls, OH and William J. (Jennifer) Cleveland of Atsugi, Japan; 2 daughters, Mrs. Juanita J. (William) Davis of Union City, CA and Mrs. Charlene (Tommy) Benton of Herndon, VA; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary (John) Patterson of Salem, OH and Ms. Carolease Dillard of Detroit, MI; 10 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Mrs. Pamella Douglas and 2 brothers, Amos A. Dunlap and Charles H. Dunlap.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. Calling Hours: one hour prior to service (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) Burial at Grandview Cemetery, Salem, OH.
