Obituary          

Jessie L. Davis, 64 of 299 Mesabi St., Sharon, PA, departed this life Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 10:00 am at Sharon Regional Health System following an extended illness.

He was born October 4, 1945 in Muscogee, FL, the son of James and Bessie Platt Davis, residing with his daughter for 1 month coming from Pensacola, FL and lived 25 years in Warren.

He was employed with Gilbert Construction Company for 5 years as a Handyman, before retiring in 2005. He also worked for Rockwell International of Newton Falls, OH and after retiring he worked for Pensacola News Journal delivering papers.

Mr. Davis belonged to the Baptist Faith, Masonic Lodge and enjoyed fishing and traveling.

He married Margaret Campbell Davis in 1997, she died May 28, 2009.

He leaves to mourn 2 sons, James Earl Campbell and Lamar Evans both of Killeen, TX; 1 daughter, Ms. Lisa Robinson of Sharon, PA; 4 brothers, James A. Davis, Jimmie (Eldora) Davis, James Davis Jr. all of Warren and Robert L. Davis of Sharon, PA; 1 sister, Ms. Sarah Davis of New York, NY; 6 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son, Eugene Campbell and 1 brother, Sam P. Davis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel. Calling Hours: 12:00-1:00 p.m. (one hour prior to service). Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 1311 Southern Blvd., Warren, the home of his brother, James Davis Jr.
