Obituary          

Eric Tramaine Johnson Sr., 49 of 1570 Oakknoll, S.E., Warren, departed this life Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 9:50 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Medical Center following complications from an extended illness.

He was born August 20, 1960 in Warren, OH, the son of Charles W. and Irene Rucker Johnson Jr.

He was employed for 20 years as a Handyman, before retiring in 2005.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Agape Assembly and enjoyed baseball, boxing, basketball and old movies.

He leaves to mourn 3 sons, Eric Johnson Jr., Rio Johnson and Derick Johnson all of Warren; 3 daughters, Ms. Lakresha Smith, Ms. Tashi Johnson and Erica Johnson all of Warren; 1 stepdaughter, Ms. Rakia Henderson of Warren; mother, Ms. Irene R. Johnson of Warren; 1 brother, Ivan Johnson of Warren; 4 sisters, Ms. Erin Johnson, Ms. Roxanne Johnson and Mrs. Yvonne (Michael) Hale all of Warren and Ms. Toni Johnson of Akron; 4 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at New Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. Calling Hours will be held one hour prior to services (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Family will receive friends at 1570 Oakknoll, S.E., Warren, the home of his mother, Ms. Irene Johnson.

Professional services of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
