Obituary
David H. Ziegler., 76, of 1410 Gypsy Lane, Niles departed this life Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at 10:45 a.m. at Select Specialty Hospital from complications of a stroke.
He was born August 5, 1933 in Niles, OH, the son of John Henry and Mary Lou Crout Ziegler.
Mr. Ziegler was employed with R.M.I. Titanium for 44 years as a Grinder, before retiring Jan. 1996. He was a member of Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and sports.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952-1955 and was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
He married the former Grace Louise Bond November 27, 1958.
Besides his wife of Niles, he leaves to mourn 2 daughters, Mrs. Daphne (Hiram Jr.) Ziegler-Bonner of Niles and Mrs. Daiva (Jose) Ziegler-Fernandez of Miami, FL; 4 brothers, Joseph D. (Lucretia) Ziegler of Detroit, MI, Phillip R. (Mary Frances) Ziegler of Warren, John A. (Shirley ) Ziegler of Willoughby Hills, OH, and Victor A. Ziegler of Detroit, MI; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sadie M. Morris of Youngstown and Ms. Albertha Marsh of Warren; 2 grandchildren, Elise Louise Bonner and Nia Mercedes Fernandez and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, James Ziegler, John Henry Ziegler and Ronald Eugene Ziegler and 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Eleanor Whelchel, Mrs. Malinda Hayes and Mrs. Lorraine Ivey.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 11, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel. Calling Hours: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (one hr. prior to services). Burial at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends at 1410 Gypsy Lane, Niles, the home of his wife, Grace Ziegler.
