Obituary
Carlena J. Callion, 70 of 3264 Lynwood Drive, N.W., Warren departed this life Saturday, February, 6, 2010 at 3:10 p.m. at her residence from complications of an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 18, 1939 in New Albany, Miss., the daughter of Carl and Dammie Bell Foster, residing in the area for 52 years.
Mrs. Callion was employed at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for 16 years as a Nurses Assistant, before retiring in 1997. She also worked at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital for 14 years and was a Private Duty Nurse for 7 years.
She was a member of Community Church of God In Christ, where she was a former President of the Usher Board and member of the Finance Committee, a campaign worker for Barak Obama For President Committee and enjoyed gardening, landscaping and decorating. She was a 1957 graduate of B.F. Ford High School.
She married Edward Callion July 11, 1981.
Besides her husband of Warren, she leaves to mourn 1 son, Duffer C. Johnson of Cincinnati, 2 daughters, Mrs. Trenicka Williams of Cincinnati and Mrs. Edythe K. (Terrance) Jennings of Warren; 2 stepsons, Edward Callion III of Youngstown and Timothy (Juanita) Callion of Champion; 1 stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith C. (Nikolai) Lindsay of Columbus; 2 sisters, Mrs. Nannie Lou Edwards of New Albany, Miss. and Mrs. Lois (John) Darden of Amory, Miss.; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Karlton Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Church of God In Christ. Calling Hours: one hour prior to services (10:00-11:00 a.m.). Burial at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 3264 Lynwood Dr., N.W., the home of her husband, Edward Callion.
Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
