Obituary          

Christian William Blackshear, 19 of 127 Wirt Blvd., Youngstown, departed this life suddenly Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 12:45 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 25, 1990 in Youngstown, OH, the son of James W. Blackshear Sr. and Carolyn Denise Square.

He was employed at the Cafaro Building for 1 year in maintenance.  

Christian was a 2010 graduate of the Mahoning Valley Opportunity Center and would have attended the Pittsburgh Art Institute in the fall. He attended CRDC, member of Cathy’s Dance Village, enjoyed drawing, designing clothes, shoes, hats, muscle cars and basketball.

Besides his parents of Youngstown, he leaves to mourn 5 brothers, James Blackshear Jr., Leroy Blackshear, Gerald Blackshear, Jarelle Blackshear and Brian James Blackshear all of Youngstown; 3 sisters, Nicole Blackshear of CA, LaPorsha Eley and Summer Wilson both of Youngstown; grandparents, Willie Mae (Rev. Randall) Square Kitchen and Mr. and Mrs. James (Beverly) Blackshear  of Youngstown and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roosevelt Square Sr.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
