Barbara Cowan Fulton, 90 of 541 Fourth St. S.W., Warren, OH departed this life Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 3:00 a.m. at Gracewood Village Assistant Living of Cardiac Arrest. 

She was born April 28, 1919 in Bentonia, MS, the daughter of Robert Cowan and Lenora Coleman Cowan, moving to the area 64 years ago.

Ms. Fulton was a 1937 graduate of Yazoo City High School in Yazoo City, Ms, and attented Jackson State University. She was employed with Packard Electric Division of General Motors as a Harness Repair for 33 years retiring in 1987. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, traveling, flowers and gardening. Her husband, Willie J. Fulton Sr., whom she married January 26, 1946, died July 28, 1987.

He leaves to mourn, 3 sons, Willie J. (Shurlie) Fulton Jr. of Dayton, OH., Robert Earl Fulton of Warren, OH., Orrin Bernard (Rhonda) Fulton-West of Lake Village, California; 1 brother, Judge Cowan Sr. of Bentonia, MS.; 2 sisters, Ms. Lucille Nelson of St. Louis, MO., Ms. Louise Cowan of Bentonia, MS.; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of relatives and friends

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie J. Fulton Sr. and 1 sister, Mrs. Etta Washington.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Second Baptist Church where calling hours will he one hour prior to the service 9:00-10:00. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 541 Fourth St. S.W., Warren, the home of her son, Robert Earl Fulton.
