Alfred Wade Amos, 54 of 4888 Truitt Lane, Decatur, GA, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at 9:50 p.m. at The Odyssey House in Georgia after experiencing renal failure.

He was born August 28, 1955 in Warren, OH, the son of Samuel and Luvola Royster Amos Sr., residing in the area for 13 years.

Mr. Amos was employed with NTB Tire Company for 3 years as a Manager. He enjoyed car mechanics and sports. He was a 1973 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Ohio State University.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1985.

He leaves to mourn 1 stepson, Joseph Mooney of Lithonia, GA; 3 brothers, Samuel Amos of Warren, Derick E. Amos of Hubert Heights, and Raymond D. (Terri Dukes) Amos of Longmont, CO; care giver, Ms. Leslie Amos and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home. Calling Hours: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (one hr. prior to service).

Family will receive friends at 2697 Beal St., N.W., the home of his brother, Samuel Amos. Private burial will be held at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
